ALL Things Work Together for Good
ALL.
Everyone knows the verse that reads; "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." (Romans 2:28) This is one scripture that I KNOW, I understand it to my core...it is a part of who I am.
What I find interesting is that many do not believe "all" means "all". Somethings perhaps...but not all. The sovereign God must be mistaken because surely he cannot make good come from all things! Hogwash. Well how about my mistakes...can he make good come from them? Absolutely. Okay...how about sins...the darkest, deepest most hideous sin you can think of? Those too.
I challenge you to review all the bad things that have happened in your life and consider whether good has come from it. The above scripture has a caveat I might add..."for those that love him"...He will make good out of it. That means you have to have a clean heart to those that have wronged you. No room for bitterness.
Get over it. Let it go.
My wife has a brain injury since before we were married. I can say that nothing but good has happened to us. Our Father has cared for us, blessed us...immensely.
If you cannot find good in "all things"...examine your heart...for any unforgiveness. If we want to be receivers of love and forgiveness...we must be givers of love and forgiveness.
